Last week we received our new, well to us anyway, Colchester Mascot lathe. This will allow us to turn shafts up to 3 metres long and 76mm in diameter. It was previously in a toolmakers and is in very good condition for a 1978 vintage machine. It will eventually be fitted with a DRO, taper turning attachment and an Ainjest quick threader.
